We provide field surveys, equipment supply, installation and maintenance for LNG and CNG filling stations. There are usually four types of LNG filling stations: skid-mounted filling stations, standard filling stations, L-CNG filling stations and mobile skid-mounted filling stations.
Working Principle
CNG filling stations are places where fuel is supplied to vehicles in the form of compressed natural gas. CNG is mainly methane, and contains a small amount of propane, with high octane number and calorific value.
LNG filling stations are places where fuel is supplied to vehicles in the form of liquefied natural gas. LNG is natural gas that is liquefied by cooling it to -162℃, thereby greatly reducing its volume for easy storage and transportation.
Storage Method
The natural gas at CNG filling stations is stored in high-pressure containers in the form of gas, usually at a storage pressure of between 200 and 250 atmospheres. Because it is in a gaseous state, the storage containers of CNG filling stations are relatively small and occupy a small area.
The natural gas at LNG filling stations is stored in liquid form, and special insulation materials and multi-layer vacuum jackets are required to maintain its low temperature state. Since the density of LNG is much higher than that of CNG, the storage container is larger and occupies a larger area.
Application Scenarios
CNG filling stations are suitable for short-distance transportation tools such as urban buses and taxis, and are favored because of their short refueling time and moderate cruising range. LNG filling stations are suitable for long-distance transportation and heavy vehicles because of their high fuel density and long cruising range, which are suitable for long-term and long-distance transportation needs.
